The grand menorah outside the East Meadow Beth-El Jewish Center shone bright this Hanukkah as members of the synagogue gathered for the lighting each evening.
During the eight-night holiday, the East Meadow Beth-El Jewish Center upheld their tradition of braving the cold to light the menorah — one night and one light at a time.
Students form the Hebrew school sang songs as part of the ceremony on Dec. 13.
Hanukkah took place from Dec. 12 through Dec. 19 this year, concluding the way that it started, with members of the temple gathered under the impressive menorah.
