People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

On Jan. 10 at 10:15 p.m., a 35-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree.

On Jan 11 at 6:35 p.m., a 32-year-old Freeport man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.

On Jan. 13 at 4:37 a.m., an 18-year-old Westbury man was arrested on Horton Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with driving while intoxicated.

On Jan. 14 at 6:20 a.m., a, 49-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree that occurred on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.

On Jan. 14 at 7:35 a.m., a 22-year-old Hewlett man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance on Blake Avenue in Lynbook.

Burglary

Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Jan. 13, jewelry valued at $400 was taken from a house on Remsen Street in Lynbrook.

Criminal mischief

On Jan. 10 at 2:30 p.m., three tires were slashed on a 2002 Lincoln parked at Merrick Road and Vincent Avenue in Lynbrook.

Between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, $200 worth of damage was done to a 2004 Chevrolet parked on Union Place in Lynbrook.

Grand larceny

Between 10 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 12, tires and rims were taken from automobiles parked at the Legacy Infinity at 855 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook. According to police, the tires and rims were valued at $10,400.

Between 8 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 2 p.m. on Jan. 15, a laptop computer valued at $2000 was taken from a 2002 Nissan, which was parked on Davison Avenue in Lynbrook.

Between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Jan. 13, $2000 was taken from a house on Scranton Avenue in Lynbrook.

Petit larceny

Between 11:30 a.m on Jan. 12 and 9:15 a.m. on Jan. 14, assorted property valued at $300 was taken from a house on St. Nicholas Street in Lynbrook.
