Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests

On Feb. 8 at 7 p.m., a 28-year-old man from  Far Rockaway, Queens, was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation stemming from an incident on Sept. 9 on Peninsula Boulevard.

At 4:20 p.m. on Feb. 8,a 28-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a forged instrument. Also arrested was a 32-year-old man from  Fresh Meadows, Queens, who was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a forged instrument. Officers recovered ketamine, herion and methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (ecstacy/molly), as well as 52 counterfeit $100 bills after a car stop and investigation on Sunrise Highway.

A 34-year-old woman from Wayland, N.Y., was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation and unregistered and uninspected vehicle on Peninsula Boulevard.

On Feb. 10 at 4:51 p.m., a 52-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation and various other vehicle and traffic law violations on Dawes Avenue.

At 5 a.m. on Feb. 11, a 25-year-old man from Freeport, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation and failure to wear a seatbelt on Sunrise Highway.   

A 34-year-old woman from Dundalk, Md., was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, unregistered vehicle and failure to maintain the lane on Merrick Road.

Grand larceny

On Feb. 9, the manager of Acura of Valley Stream, 881 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook, reported that on Nov. 5, a white woman used fraudulent credentials to apply for credit and bought a 2021 red Acura RDX. The total loss was about $55,687. Lynbrook detectives are investigating the incident.
