The Elmont Union Free School District launched a new website on Sept. 7, according to a statement released by the district. The website, according to the district, was redesigned for easier access and efficiency.
“The updated design aims to allow online visitors to navigate the homepage easily and efficiently. The website will continue to showcase school news, a calendar of events, announcements and parent resources,” according to the statement about the upgrades.
“Along with featuring larger images of students in a scrolling banner across the top of the page, the homepage displays the district's Facebook feed for an up-to-date, immersive experience,” the statement noted. “Additionally, website visitors are able to utilize a translation button to convert the website's text into a variety of languages through Google Translate.”
District superintendent Kenneth Rosner touted new aspects of the website in the statement. "This enhanced design will allow online visitors to easily access information and remain engaged with our scholars,” Rosner said.
The new website can still be found at www.elmontschools.org.
