Administrators and teachers at Hewlett-Woodmere School District’s Franklin Early Childhood Center held a car parade for its first grade graduates on June 12 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The roughly 90-minute celebration began on Serene Street and continued on Henrietta Place where the  school building is located.

Along with the vehicle drive-by, there was a DJ, balloons and each graduate received a packaged gift that included a plush bulldog and school remembrances.
