Despite strong winds last Saturday children at the annual Father John Farrell Council 5962 Knights of Columbus Easter Egg Roll at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Hewlett found many eggs filled with candy and took part in an egg on a spoon races. Matthew Decicco, Ada Pultorak and Paul Marquard found the golden eggs. Easter, considered Christianity’s most important holiday was celebrated last Sunday and commemorates Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead after he was put to death by the Romans.
