Learn how to create a personal Holocaust presentation

An online course hosted by Nassau County’s Holocaust and Tolerance Center in Glen Cove, “Preserving Your Family Story: How to Prepare a Personal Presentation about the Holocaust,” is geared towards helping second and third generation descendants of Holocaust Survivors bring their family’s stories and experiences to life in order to inform posterity.

The course will meet for eight-sessions every other Thursday from Jan. 21 to April 29. Participants will gain a better understanding of how to research and share their family histories along with important presentational skills. The goal is to have an estimated family narrative by the end.

Led by HMTC Director of Education, Helen Turner, and HMTC’s Museum
and Programming Director, Thorin Tritter.

All sessions are on Thursdays Jan. 21 , Feb. 4,  Feb. 18, March 4, Narch 18, April 1, April 15, and April 29 from 2:30 to 4 p.m.


Participants will conduct their own research throughout the course and
be expected to complete bi-weekly written homework assignments.
(College credit may be available.) The cost is $250.
