Hewlett and Ogden elementary schools’ administrators, students, teachers and other staff got to see the end result of a second grade project as the Pekin duck eggs that had been developing in classroom incubators hatched on April 27.
Dr. Brian Terry, P-12 chairman of science, and science lead teachers at both elementary schools, Alison Ingwer for Hewlett and AnnMarie Castrogiovanni at Ogden brought this districtwide science experiment to life. As part of the project, all the second-graders learned about animal development and caretaking.
