Queens men crash in Woodmere

Two Queens residents were allegedly found with a stolen vehicle after a Honda Pilot struck a tree near the Five Towns Shopping Center in Woodmere on July 26, according to police.

Nassau police got a call regarding speeding cars in the area and found several men leaving the scene by 249-71 Rockaway Blvd. The police arrested two of the men at 2:20 a.m. The officers discovered the Pilot was stolen and found what appeared to be a black-colored handgun on the driver’s side floorboard. It was a BB gun.

Julius Mosley, 22, of Seagirt Avenue, Far Rockaway and an unidentified 17-year-old, of Springfield Gardens, were each charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree unlawful use of a vehicle.

Mosley will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on July 27. The teen will be in the Youth Part of District Court.
