Each spring the Lawrence public schools dance department performs what most viewers best describe as a “professional dance show” that never fails to wow the audience and inspire future and present dancers.

This year’s theme was “United Dances of America,” blending music and dance from across the world. The sell out show was performed on May 30 in the high school auditorium.

Dances were influenced by such diverse cultures as, African, Chinese, Indian and Latin.

District dance teacher Laila Sales led the show’s artistic direction and choreography supplemented, several guest choreographers, Lawrence High alumni and former dance students.
