Las Vegas Sands pulls out of casino plan at Nassau Coliseum

Las Vegas Sands has scrapped its $6 billion plan to build a casino resort at the Nassau Coliseum site in Uniondale, ending a controversial bid that faced fierce community opposition and shifting economic winds. The company will not pursue a New York downstate gaming license in June.
