Fair Lynbrook, East Rockaway host menorah lightings

Lynbrook and East Rockaway each hosted menorah lightings in late December to ring in Hanukkah in joyous celebrations.
In East Rockaway, Mayor Bruno Romano, the board of trustees, Nassau County and Town of Hempstead elected officials and religious leaders joined to light the menorah to ring in the festival of lights outside Village Hall on Dec. 23.
Lynbrook hosted its Hanukkah celebration on Stauderman Avenue on Dec. 26. Rabbi Sandra Bellush of Temple Am Echad spoke to those gathered near the menorah, and members of the temple performed songs. Mayor Alan Beach attended the event along with members of the village board and Hempstead Town Councilman Anthony D’Esposito, among others.
