Long Beach’s annual Turkey Trot hit the boardwalk over the weekend, drawing a large crowd of runners once again. The children’s race took off first, with the anticipated adult race following it up.

Amanda Laderer, 26, of Long Beach, was the first adult female finisher Sunday. She finished the trot in just over 40 minutes.

Runner Jason Sinert, 25, of Wantagh, was the first overall finisher Sunday. He finished the race in just over 35 minutes.

The Turkey Trot is one of the most popular races in Long Beach, always drawing large crowds just before Thanksgiving dinner doesn’t allow for distance running.
