Calhoun clubs host Trunk or Treat

Posted

Various clubs at Sanford H. Calhoun High School participated in a Trunk or Treat event in the parking lot on Oct. 28. The fundraiser event was organized by the World of Difference Club.

Students from the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District’s Prep for Life, COORE and Prep Academy programs, along with local elementary school children, were invited to trick or treat from each club’s decorated trunk.

From Candy Land and Hocus Pocus to Rapunzel and Jack Skellington, each trunk was creatively curated.

“World of Difference aims to support the Bellmore-Merrick community inside and out of the Calhoun High School walls,” explained with faculty adviser Jamie Romito. “The event is so special because of all of the clubs, sports, teachers and administrators that participate.”

Proceeds will go toward the Autism Speaks Light it Up Blue campaign.
