Property damage

On Dec. 21 at 10:25 a.m., a motorist reported that his car’s windshield was damaged while it was parked on Merrick Road.

At 5:43 p.m. on Dec. 23, a driver reported that she discovered a crack in the bumper of her vechilce while it was parked on Lincoln Avenue.

Missing person

A resident was reported missing by her sister on Dec. 22 at 1:36 p.m. The missing person was located in Freeport by the Freeport Police Department at 3 p.m., and transported to the hospital for medical evaluation.

Lost property

On Dec. 22 at 11:13 p.m., a resident reported that he lost his handicap parking permit.    

At 12:25 p.m. on Dec. 23, a resident reported that she lost her handicap parking permit.

Larceny

A motorist reported that someone stole his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway on Dec. 24 at 9:43 a.m. The car was unlocked, and the keys were inside when it was stolen. The vehicle was located by police in Queens later that day.

Investigation

On Dec. 23 at 11:33 a.m., a resident reported he was threatened by a pedestrian with a bat while he was walking his dog in front of the house.

Criminal Mischief

At 11:08 a.m. on Dec. 21, the owner of Paula’s Deli and Grocery reported that someone intentionally damaged her glass front door.

Unusual incident

A resident reported that someone opened a bank account in her name on Dec. 20 at 11:41 a.m.
