Baldwin High School Playhouse captivated audiences with its production of The Unsinkable Molly Brown from Nov. 21 to Nov. 23.
The musical follows Molly Brown, a spirited woman from Colorado who rises from poverty to become an iconic figure. The story highlights her tenacity, wit, and sense of justice as she climbs the social ladder, capturing both her dramatic journey and humorous moments. It chronicles her survival, perseverance, and determination to defy society’s expectations.
In preparation for the production, Baldwin High School was one of the few schools in the state to receive the Unsinkable Molly Brown Grant, worth $10,000. The grant helped fund the production, including set and costume design and script rights.
