Nassau County police Thursday morning identified the victim as Nasir Reid of Lynbrook.

A 19-year-old man was killed when his car struck two other vehicles in Lynbrook at 12:03 a.m. Tuesday, according to Nassau County Homicide Detectives.

Police said the 19-year-old was driving a 2009 BMW south on Ocean Avenue when his vehicle struck a Nissan Pathfinder heading northeast at the Ocean Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard intersection.

The BMW then struck a 2019 Dodge Ram truck driven by a 38-year-old man that had stopped at a traffic light on Ocean Avenue.

The driver of the Pathfinder, a 57-year-old man, and a 51-year-old female passenger—and the driver of the Dodge Ram—were transported by the Lynbrook Fire Department to local hospitals and treated for minor injuries, according to police.

Police said the teen suffered “extensive internal injuries” and was transported by Nassau County Ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:25 a.m.

Police have yet to identify any of the victims involved. The three vehicles have been impounded by Nassau County Police for safety checks, and detectives said the investigation is continuing.
