As part of the monthly Portrait of a Graduate recognitions at Malverne’s Maurice W. Downing Primary School, students were honored for helping others and demonstrating their understanding of how to be culturally responsive.
Families were invited to the “We Can” and “Portrait of Success Awards” ceremonies on Feb. 28, as Malverne celebrated students who are leading the way with kindness, positivity and are focused on learning about and respecting each other’s differences.
