Who's going to answer the call in Malverne? These folks!

The Malverne Fire Department and the Village of Malverne are honored and extremely lucky to welcome the new leadership of Chief of Department Kevin Garvey, 1st Deputy Anthony Buonomo, 2nd Deputy James Aresta and all the newly-elected lieutenants and captains.

At the annual swearing in ceremony April 18, Malverne Mayor Timothy Sullivan spoke about the true meaning of the word “hero”. No doubt each of the newly elected chiefs chosen to lead the department and serve the residents embody every sentiment of the word, giving of themselves at the most inconvenient hours of their lives to assist residents in the very worst hours of theirs.
