Anthony D’Esposito sworn in as 4th District Town Councilman

Supervisor Anthony Santino and the Hempstead Town Board filled a vacancy in the 4th District seat, appointing Anthony D’Esposito as Councilman on Feb. 9. D’Esposito fills the seat vacated by Santino, who now serves as Supervisor.

The Fourth District includes: East Rockaway, Hewlett, Island Park, South Hempstead, Oceanside and Rockville Centre and portions of Baldwin, Cedarhurst, Lynbrook, Malverne, Valley Stream and Woodmere.

“Anthony P. D’Esposito is a dedicated member of the Town of Hempstead community, with a wealth of experience in leadership and service to his fellow residents,” stated Santino, who inducted D’Esposito as Councilman. “I am confident that Councilman D’Esposito will be an exceptional public servant and a tremendous asset on the Hempstead Town Board.”

D’Esposito is a detective with the New York City Police Department, a former chief of the Island Park Fire Department and served as Public Information Officer for the Village of Island Park. D’Esposito serves on the Board of Directors for the Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center, and is a co-founder of the Jimi Gubelli Foundation. D’Esposito is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Oceanside Knights of Columbus.
