The Community Foundation of Oyster Bay, a non-profit that supports local programs focused on social services, education, food security, and mental and social welfare, held its Annual Garden Party on May 1. The fundraiser, held at Planting Fields Arboretum, gave attendees the opportunity to enjoy wine, hors d’oeuvres, and conversation while enjoying the beauty of the Olmsted Brothers-designed estate.
“It’s a community where those who have the ability to give, do give generously,” Julia Vaughn, president of the foundation’s board of trustees, said. “It’s the reason why so many of us have chosen to raise our families here and why the next generation comes back. It’s truly special.”
The worldwide pandemic has threatened many of the businesses you rely on every day, but don’t let it take away your source for local news.
