Residents flocked to the lawn of the Glenwood Landing American Legion last Saturday to celebrate the start of summer reading, hosted by the Gold Coast Library. The kick-off featured an array of fun activities such as crafts, face painting, balloon sculptures and two exciting shows.
Jason Reilly from Green Meadow Farms made learning about creatures fun and gave everyone a chance to pet live animals. Attendees met Stickers the tree frog, Tickles the hedgehog, mice, hissing roaches, lizards, toads, bunnies, crabs and baby animals, too.
The Jungle Jam puppet show took residents on a safari ride around the world featuring unbelievable puppets and theatrical animals.
