Arson investigation underway in Levittown

The Nassau County Police Department’s Arson Bomb Squad is investigating an arson incident that occurred early Saturday, Dec. 14, in Levittown.

Officers responded to a report of a fire at Sprucewood Drive at around 4:30 a.m. They discovered a portable bathroom on the front lawn of a residence fully engulfed in flames. According to detectives, an unknown male was seen running from the victim’s driveway while on fire and fleeing east on Sprucewood Drive.

The Wantagh Fire Department extinguished the blaze. The portable bathroom sustained heavy damage, while the house had minor damage. No injuries were reported.
