The Freeport and Nassau County Police Departments found that there was no threat to yesterday’s alleged bomb threat directed at the Freeport School District.

Students were dismissed from the district yesterday after the Freeport Police Department received the threat. The two police departments combed the interiors and exteriors of all schools in the district.

“The safety and security of our students and staff is our highest priority,” said Superintendent of Schools Kishore Kuncham. “At this time, the district is continuing to cooperate with police, as the investigation is ongoing.”
