Every Sunday, a tangle of tent tops can be seen from the platform of the Bellmore LIRR station. Down below, local vendors entice savvy shoppers with antiques, vintage knick-knacks and handpicked treasures at an affordable price.
It’s part of the weekly Flea Market, sponsored by the Bellmore Lions Club, which closes off a portion of the railroad’s parking lot to make way for vendors from all over Long Island. Patrons can shop for shoes, clothing, jewelry, toys, home goods and more.
The market is located at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Bellmore Avenue in Bellmore. For vendor information, hours and more, call (516) 783-1471,
