Baldwin library launches 'takeout' program

Posted

While the Baldwin Public Library remains closed to the public until further notice, its “Library Takeout” program has begun. Get an order in today.

Ways to place an order include calling, emailing or visiting an online catalog. Call (516) 223-6228 ext. 159 to leave a voicemail with your request(s) and provide your full name — spelling out your last name — and library card number.

Email takeout@baldwinpl.org with your request(s) and include your full name, phone number and library card number. Place holds for items through an online catalog, which can be found on the top of every page on the library’s website where it says “Search Our Catalog.”

Takeout hours are Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wear a mask when picking up an order. A library staff member will contact you to schedule your pickup and give you an order number.

You may receive an automated email from the library once your items are pulled, according to the library website, but contact the library to schedule a pickup date and time. You may pick up a maximum of 10 items per day per account, as scheduling permits.

Patrons may return materials to the book and media drops. For more information, visit baldwinpl.org/takeout.
