Cops searching for suspect in Elmont assault

Nassau County police are searching for a man who allegedly poured an unknown liquid on a woman on March 17.

According to Nassau County police, a 21-year-old female victim was walking down the driveway of her Arlington Avenue home, when she was approached from behind by an unknown male who was carrying a white cup containing a dark colored substance that he threw at the victim’s face. The woman suffered from serious physical injuries and was transported by a Nassau County police ambulance to a local area hospital for treatment.

The suspect, meanwhile, fled eastbound on Arlington Avenue. He is described as being approximately six-feet-two-inches tall with a skinny build who was wearing a black colored sweatshirt with a hood and gloves.
