Franklin Square TD Bank robbed

A Franklin Square TD Bank, located at 690 Hempstead Turnpike, was robbed at 12:35 p.m. on June 2.

According to detectives from the Nassau County Police Department, a male subject entered the bank and made a verbal demand to the teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of U.S. currency, the subject fled on foot, eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike. Eleven employees and four customers were present, and remained inside of the bank during the robbery. There were no injuries, according to police.

Nassau County police arrived shortly after the individual fled the scene and blocked off all parking lot entrances, and cordoned off the front building entrance with yellow police tape.

The subject is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 5' 11' and dark complected, and was wearing a red baseball hat, red T-shirt and denim shorts at the time of the robbery.
