Regal theater provides safe, fun experience

To the Editor:

My wife and I have been to the Regal theater in Lynbrook twice since it recently reopened. Regal has done a terrific job in making sure patrons’ safety comes first.

When you walk in, you are greeted with a smile, and you can see safety precautions are taken seriously. Regal is following all the measures and protocols of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to make sure everyone is safe to enjoy the movie experience that you cannot get at home. The theater is also cleaned before and after every showing. Employees disinfect all the seats and bathrooms, and patrons must wear masks. The seats are spaced apart, and you can remove your mask while eating popcorn.

It was nice to see couples and families getting out and trying to bring some normalcy back. These are difficult times, and we need to support our local businesses. Regal has supported our community for more than 50 years by showing free movies when Santa comes to town during Thanksgiving weekend.

As a local business owner, I ask the community to please support local businesses. It’s important during these difficult times.
