Sirens flashed and horns blared outside of Lynbrook firehouses at 7 p.m. on April 7 in what was a sign of solidarity.

Lynbrook firefighters joined other Nassau County fire departments in a show of support for all medical personnel who are working on the front line to treat and combat the coronavirus pandemic.

The practice was also on display at LFD Engine Co. No. 1’s headquarters on Carpenter Avenue in Lynbrook. The engine company and the department’s Floodlight Unit participated in sounding the horns and flashing the sirens.
