Lynbrook Restorative Therapy and Nursing to be part of post-Covid support group

Paragon Management, with facilities in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens and Westchester counties, including Lynbrook Restorative Therapy and Nursing, has launched a Post Covid-19 support group that will offer emotional and psychological assistance to those who have survived the coronavirus.

The support group sessions will take place as Zoom meetings and will be led by professionals on staff at the Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Centers, including a psychologist, and Nurse Lisa Penziner, the special projects manager. Paragon Management includes Lynbrook Restorative Therapy & Nursing, Emerge Nursing, Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation and Excel at Woodbury for Rehabilitation & Nursing.

“As we see more people who have recovered from the coronavirus, we know that many of them continue to have lingering health issues and in some cases, they show signs of post-traumatic stress syndrome,” Penziner said. “A support group provides people with an opportunity to be with others who are likely to understand what they are going through. This can reduce feelings of loneliness, distress, depression, anxiety and fatigue.”

The support groups will take place on June 11 at 2 p.m. and June 16 at 6 p.m. To receive the Zoom invite information to participate, email  or call (516) 457-5585.
