Lamont McCall Granton, 27, of New Jersey and two juveniles were arrested Friday for an attempted burglary in Woodsburgh, police wrote in a release.
Four masked individuals, one unidentified, tried to break into a home on Ivy Hill Road around 2:55 a.m. using a crowbar to open rear entrance. The home's alarm system was triggered, and the suspects and subject fled.
McCall Granton and two 17-year-olds were apprehended after police and K9 units conducted a search. Authorities found multiple pills, believed to be MDMA on one of the boys.
Granton faces charges including attempted burglary, criminal mischief, possession of burglars tools and violating the Mask Transparency Act.
The juveniles face similar charges, with one additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The three suspects were arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead. Police continue searching for a fourth suspect.
