Police investigating Friday morning shooting mystery

Posted

A shooting on Dean Drive on Friday morning didn't injure anyone, and has left a lot of questions for the authorities.

The Nassau County Police Department said someone from a vehicle fired several shots around 11:30 a.m. on Dean Drive, which connects Mc Donald Place with Fenmore Place just south of the Southern State Parkway.

Yet, at this point, that's all police know. They don't know how many people were in the car, what kind of car it was, or even what they were shooting at. Officers responded to reports of gunfire, and were able to recover several shell casings from the scene.

Anyone with any information, of course, should contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-8477. Callers, police say, will remain anonymous.
