Report: 15 Wantagh students test positive for Covid; seniors on remote learning

Fifteen high school students in the Wantagh School District have tested positive for Covid-19, including 13 seniors, according to a News 12 Long Island report early Wednesday morning.

It appears most of the cases are connected to a gathering of some kind last weekend, Superintendent John McNamara told the news outlet.

All seniors are now on full remote learning for the week, and all extracurricular activities and athletics are suspended, so winter athletes will be unable to finish out their season.

No information was available on the Wantagh School District website, and officials could not be reached at press time.
