It was a day where local eateries, businesses and bands had a chance to shine on Sunday as the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce presented the annual Eat, Shop, Rock event.
The outing included 75 vendors, 50 food trucks, 28 sponsors and 18 live bands on Park Avenue between Sunrise Highway and Lincoln Avenue.
In addition to shopping and food — including outdoor seating — provided by the local businesses, there were stages featuring live music and dance performances, as well as raffles and plenty of activities for children and the whole family.
Local businesses opened pop-up shops, bands from the School of Rock and other musicians performed, there were carnival games and rides, other games sponsored by the Rockville Centre Lions Club and tents featuring local organizations, including American Legion Post 303.
The day served as a gathering to help support local businesses, especially after the difficulties brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
