The Wantagh Union Free School District (WUFSD) announced on March 19 that it would be providing free meals to “all students” throughout its closure. The district will be offering breakfast and lunch for pick-up on weekdays between 8 and 10 a.m. at Wantagh Elementary School.

Wantagh Superintendent of Schools John C. McNamara also wrote that the district would allow students and parents to pick up multiple meals for the weekend on Fridays.

The elementary school cafeteria is located by the south parking lot, off of Bunker Avenue. The district is reporting that students and parents can use the door off the south parking lot that accesses the cafeteria, but groups may not congregate in the cafeteria.

“We wish everyone the best of health, as we continue to work through this challenging time,” McNamara wrote.
