Elmont man arrested in string of larcenies

An Elmont man was recently arrested for a string of larcenies throughout Nassau County.

Dean Leipsner, 57, was identified as the person responsible for a number of larcenies that occurred between Oct. 19 and Jan. 12 from Target stores located in Westbury, Valley Stream, Levittown and Port Washington, Nassau County police report. He was located at his last known address, and was placed under arrest for stealing over-the-counter medications in excess of $3,500.

Leipsner is charged with grand larceny in the third-degree, and three counts of petit larceny. He is being represented by the Legal Aid of Nassau County, which does not comment on cases, and is due back in court on Feb. 1.
