Two men, possibly in concert with others, allegedly stole a 2020 Mercedes-Benz from a woman parked on Ridgewood Drive in Wantagh at 9 p.m. on May 9, according to police.

The woman, 44, got of her car and was on the passenger side to take some items out of the vehicle when two men claiming to be lost asked her for directions. One of the men then pulled out a black-colored handgun and demanded the vehicle key, police said.

She gave them the key and the two men got into the car and went south on Wantagh Avenue, according to police. The woman said she saw a dark-colored older model sport utility vehicle also leave the scene immediately after her car was taken.

Described as Black, the two men were dressed in all black clothing.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 244-8477 or 911. All calls are confidential.
