Seaford schools support families with food

Seaford School District families will be entitled to free “grab and go” breakfast and lunch meals, according to a letter released on March 17 by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Adele Pecora.

Families can pick up the meals at the Seaford High School cafeteria via the Joy Court parking lot. The current plan for the district is to distribute the meals to “any student in need” on weekdays starting on Wednesday March 18 and will tentatively run through April 1.

“As we navigate this challenging time, I appreciate your support,” Pecora wrote.

She also stressed that all school buildings and grounds, including athletic fields, tracks, playgrounds, courts and walkways, will be closed until further notice.

“Thank you for assisting us in keeping our community safe,” finished Pecora.
