A third place $50,000 Powerball lottery-winning ticket for the July 17 drawing was sold at the Exxon gasoline station at 3229 Sunrise Highway in Wantagh.
Eight other third place tickets were sold across the state, including Oakdale, three places in Manhattan, Staten Island and in the upstate communities of Fairport, Lake Placid and Loudonville.
