The East Meadow School District celebrated School Board Recognition Week at their monthly meeting on Oct. 14. Superintendent Kenneth Card Jr. expressed his gratitude for the dedication of each member of the board on behalf of the entire community and presented each board member with a special certificate as a thank you for their support.

“The East Meadow School District is joining all public school districts across the state to celebrate School Board Recognition Week, by honoring the board members for their commitment to East Meadow and its children,” Card said.

Director of Music and Art Kelly Gelfer and Art Department Chairperson Heather Anastasio gifted each member with a ceramic vase, each of which was handmade by W.T. Clarke High School students in Mr. James Parisi’s creative crafts class.

“We thank you for your service to the East Meadow community and for your support of all programs, making East Meadow an incredible place to learn,” Gelfer said.
