Halloween festivities in West Hempstead

Chestnut Street School kindergartners virtually met with West Hempstead High School students for Halloween festivities on Oct. 30.

Kindergarteners in Daniel Ianniello’s class at Chestnut Street School in West Hempstead virtually met with students in Sheila Dempsey’s class at West Hempstead High School to take part in a variety of Halloween-themed activities on Oct. 30.
The two classes came together via Google Meet to play a spooky game of bingo, read a Halloween-themed book and decorate pumpkins. Chestnut Street Principal Faith Tripp and Dr. Nichelle Rivers, the district’s director of performing, fine and culinary arts, visited the kindergarten class to join in on the festivities.
