Promoting positivity at West Hempstead Middle School

Posted

The Dignity and Tolerance Club at West Hempstead Middle School created a Walk of Positivity leading into the school building on Oct. 21. Students and faculty wrote uplifting phrases in chalk by the school’s main entrance, reminding those who walk by to stay positive and celebrate one another.

“With everything going on right now, we really wanted to create something encouraging for our students,” said Club Adviser and Social Worker Cari Lubliner.

The Dignity and Tolerance Club seeks to promote social justice by fostering an inclusive school climate. Students work together to create diversity, tolerance and combat bullying in all forms.
