Students rock Socktober with 766 pairs of socks

The Student Council at George Washington School in West Hempstead collected a total of 766 pairs of socks for local shelters.

The student council at George Washington School in West Hempstead collected 766 pairs of socks to donate to local shelters for their Socktober event.

George Washington also recognized Jamie Rizzo, a sixth grader in Mrs. Mottola’s homeroom, who raised $145 on her own to buy 250 pairs of socks.
