Baldwin bank robbed, police search for suspect

Nassau County police are searching for a man who robbed the Bank of America on Atlantic Avenue in Baldwin on Wednesday morning.

According to detectives, a subject entered the bank, located at 792 Atlantic Ave., at 11:15 a.m. and presented a robbery demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the subject fled the scene on foot eastbound onto Atlantic Avenue. There were three employees and three customers inside the bank at the time of the crime. There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is described as approximately five-feet-10-inches tall and in his 30s. He was wearing a green fatigue bucket hat, a green long-sleeve pullover shirt and jeans during the robbery.
