Baldwin High School names top 10 students

Valedictorian

Michael Schroeder

Michael is a National Achievement Finalist and scholarship winner, a National Merit Commended Student, an AP Scholar with Distinction and a Literary Laureate. He is also the recipient of the Dartmouth Book Club Award, the Mildred Curie Award in Foreign Language and a Long Island Math Conference Scholarship Award. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the English, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Tri-M Music Honor Societies. Michael served as president of the National Honor Society and vice president of Tri-M, the Chamber Orchestra and Youth for Political Awareness. He will attend Harvard in the fall.

Eric Zuckerman

Eric is a National Merit Commended Student and AP Scholar with Distinction. He is recipient of the Harvard Book Award, the Newsday Scholar-Artist Award and the Scholar-Athlete Award. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the English, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Tri-M Music Honor Societies. Eric served as president and varsity captain of Academons and Trivia Club and president of Youth for Political Awareness and the Wind Symphony, and he was on the semifinalist team for the MSG Varsity Challenge. He acted as an intergenerational coordinator and NYSSMA volunteer. Eric will also be attending Harvard University in the fall.

Arthur Phidd

Arthur is an AP Scholar with Honors and recipient of the LeGrand Concours Certificate de Reussite, the LISELA Outstanding Achievement in Biology Award and the Scholar-Athlete Award. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the English, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Tri-M Music Honor Societies. He has served as vice president for Youth for Political Awareness, treasurer of the National Honor Society and Human Rights Club, secretary and captain of Academons and captain of the varsity tennis team, and he was on the semifinalist team for the MSG Varsity Challenge. Arthur will be attending Princeton in the fall.
