The 10th annual Baldwin Public Library Day will be held on Sunday, April 11 from 1-5 p.m.
The event is a celebration of the library, complete with appearances of local officials, musical performances, and activities for children and young adults throughout the day.
The schedule is as follows:
Community Room
At 1:45 p.m., Baldwin library director Maria Sysak will give a welcome address, followed by words from local officials. The Shelley Shields' International Cabaret will immediately follow.
At 3:15 p.m., there will be performances by the Baldwin High School Freshman String Quartet, Serious Saxes and Sax
Relevance.
Bookmark Contest Awards will be issued at 3:45 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 4 p.m.
Teen Zone
A three-hour event, led by author Paul Volponi, will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Upper Reading Gallery.
From 2-4 p.m., Alison Gelbman will lead Caricatures for Teens in the Upper Lobby. Marty Macaluso will host the same workshop from 2-4 p.m. in the Book Sale Area.
Children's Department
Lenbo the Clown will be in the Children's Room from 1-4 p.m.
Listening With Your Eyes Show with Chip Bryant will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. in the Children's Room.
At the Homework Center from 2:15 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Baldwin Key Club will do face painting.
Refreshments will be served in the Arts and Crafts Room at 4 p.m.

Library tours will be given at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Interested participants should meet at the library's Adult Reference Desk.
The Baldwin History Room, located in the Upstairs Reading Gallery, will be open from 1-5 p.m.
