Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet

Manhattan-based Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet makes its Long Island debut at Tilles Center, Friday, March 5, at 8 p.m. The program features Ohad Naharin’s Decadance, Ten Duets on a Theme of Rescue by Crystal Pite and Jo Stromgren’s Sunday, Again. Founded in 2003 by Nancy Laurie, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet has distinguished itself through both its talented corps of 16 dancers and its concurrent emphasis on acquiring and commissioning new works by the world’s most sought-after emerging choreographers. Cedar Lake offers a wide-ranging spectrum of both American and international repertory. Through their daring, athletic movement and integration of ballet into contemporary and popular forms, the dancers take audiences on a choreographic journey that explores the infinite possibilities of movement and multimedia.
