Robbery

Nassau police are seeking information on the robbery of a liquor store employee that occurred in Baldwin on the evening of Oct. 28.

According to First Squad detectives, a subject approached an employee of Langes Liquors, located at 1366 Grand Avenue, revealed a blank handgun and demanded money from the employee and a customer. The victims complied and handed the subject an undetermined amount of currency, at which point the subject fled the store on foot headed northbound on Grand Avenue, police said. No injuries were reported.


The subject is described by police as a male black in his 20s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black baseball cap and armed with a black handgun. Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

Auto theft

A 1994 Honda Civic was reported stolen from in front of an Arlington Avenue residence on Oct. 27.

Burglary

— A Hastings Street residence was burglarized on Oct. 27. Clothing, furs and a computer were reported stolen.

— A Merrick Road apartment was burglarized on Oct. 28. It is unknown how entry was made, and a computer and other property were reported missing.

— An attempted burglary occurred on Hastings Street on Oct. 30. Suspect attempted to gain entry through a second story bedroom window.

— A vacant home on Colony Drive was broken into on Oct. 30. Nothing was reported missing at the time.
