Defying The Devil: Christian Clergy Who Saved Jews From The Holocaust

In America
Artwork by alumnus Jack Dowd (‘60) is on display. As an artist specializing in social realism, Dowd is influenced by the early American painters of the Ashcan School, an early 20th century movement centered on realism. Through Aug. 11. Long Island Biennial
This inaugural juried exhibition features approximately 40 paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and photographs by professional artists living on Long Island, selected from more than 250 entries by jurors Dr. Isabelle Dervaux, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Drawings, Morgan Library and Museum, New York, Renato Danese, Danese Gallery, New York and Richard Lippe, collector of American art, Long Island. The Sea Around Us
This exhibition examines the romantic fascination artists have always had for expanses of water through American and European artists from the mid-19th century to the present. On view are works by Jasper F. Cropsey, William Glackens, Thomas Buttersworth, Childe Hassam, Red Grooms, Maurice Prendergast, Edward Hopper, Claude Monet, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and James Wyeth, and other masters of seascape art. Settling Into Nature: La Bassée, A Contemporary Landscape In France
An exhibit of works by renowned photograper Mikael Levin.
